Amanda Elizabeth Cooper passed away on March 31, 2016. She was born January 8, 1977. She grew up in Avon Lake and graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1995. Amanda ran on the Cross Country Team and was a distance runner for the Track Team, finishing sixth at the state tournament in 1994. In 1995 she was a member of the Cross Country team finishing third at the State Track Finals. She went on to Ohio University where she majored in English, graduating in 2000.
She dearly loved her cats and enjoyed many hobbies. She loved to draw and paint from little on, and enjoyed writing as well.
Survivors include her partner, James Gettens; parents, Donald and Susan Cooper; siblings, Christine Veach (Eric), Carrie Bickford, and Andrew Cooper.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8, 10:00am, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2265 Garden Drive, Avon, 44011. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. Rev. David Woolsey to officiate.
